ENGAGEMENT PARTY PREP: ASKINOLOGY

ledbylucy-Askinology-reviewI was booked into Askinology months ago then swiftly forgot all about it. When the appointment popped up on my calendar two days before my engagement party, I was beyond grateful to my past self for the timing. I love those moments, it was exactly what I needed.

I dodged my way through stressful London rush-hour crowds to get to my appointment. Askinology is tucked away in the beautiful, Victorian Leadenhall Market and as soon as you step though the door you get that wonderful ‘ahh’ feeling that spas give you.

Once in the treatment chair I began confessing my skin care routine, slip ups and triumphs. After listening carefully my beauty therapist Melody suggested that I have the ‘Plump Up The Volume’ treatment to quench my skin’s thirst with hyaluronic acid and ‘OMG Break Out’ to combat breakouts. My skin was massaged and buttered with delicious smelling ointments leaving me feeling totally dreamy.

Finally it was suggested that I try the ‘Phantom Facial’, an LED mask that bathes the face and neck in low level light of 3 wave lengths to stimulate new collagen, calm redness and inflammation and treat acne. And, quite frankly makes you look like a Storm Trooper (see below).

I was ready to head back into Central London again, only this time feeling a little more serene and relaxed.

The mask sounds like something I need – my skincare is just lacking that something if you know what I mean! it’s times like these I resent being a student!
